Lech Walesa, the anti-communist dissident who founded "Solidarity" and former president of Poland, suggests the need for a revolt of Russian minorities and the dismemberment of the federation: "It must be reduced to a population of less than 50 million"

(English translation) In an interview with the French television station LCI (La Chaine Info), Lech Walesa, the former president of Poland and founder of the anti-communist movement Solidarity, said that global security could be ensured through a "revolt of the peoples annexed by Russia ”.

Walesa urges the West to go further than liberating Ukraine, and calls for Russia to be liberated: "Even if Ukraine wins this war, we may be in the same situation in five years, and in ten years we will see a another Putin getting up, "warned Lech Walesa.

He believes that in order for this scenario to be avoided, a change in Russia's domestic political system must be forced, and suggests "organizing a revolt of the peoples of this country."

For Walesa, only one thing can ensure world security: the dismemberment of present-day Russia, which he sees as a great imperial power: “There are 60 peoples who have been annexed, as some Ukrainians are today. "These peoples should rise to the battle because there are only two options: either the Russian political system is completely changed, or Russia must be reduced to a population of less than 50 million," said Lech Walesa.

The current population of the Russian Federation is around 144 million.
